Flexible Euroclamp E-72 and E-107 DIN rail enclosure system
If you want flexibility in designing your devices, we recommend the Euroclamp E-72 and E-107 DIN rail enclosure system.
These profiles use a simple snap-in system, allowing you to mount your device directly onto the DIN rail. The basic profiles have several slots where you can place your PCBs according to your preferences.
The profiles are available in 2-meter lengths, cut to standard sizes, or can be supplied in any other desired size. Instead of mounting on a DIN rail (DIN EN 50022, DIN EN 50035), you can screw the enclosure to the panel or wall using EF accessories.
All components of this system are made from self-extinguishing green polyamide (PA) class UL94-VO.
The E-72 and E-107 Euroclamp systems consist of the following basic parts:
- E-72 MT2 or E-107 MT2 – a basic profile that is 2 meters long.
- E-72 L … or E-107 L … – a basic profile cut to one of the standard lengths. In this document, you will find an overview of the standard lengths.
- E-72 CLGL (CLGR) and E-107 CLGL (CLGR) – left or right end plate with a DIN rail clip.
- E-72 CL or E-107 CL – end plate (without a DIN rail clip).
- E-72 G or E-107 G – a narrow component serving as a hook that improves attachment to the DIN rail, suitable for long cuts of the basic profiles (together with end plates E-xx CLGL and CLGR).
- EV – set of screws.
- EF – wall mounting accessories – legs serving as a flange for easy mounting of the enclosure on a wall or panel.
In addition to the components listed above, the wider E-107 series also offers 2 higher left/right end plates with hooks for the DIN rail, named:
- E-107 CLGL60 (or CLGR 60) – panel with a height of 60 mm
- E-107 CLGR73 (or CLGR 73) – panel with a height of 73 mm
- E-107 P 60 L … and E-107 P 73 L… – transparent polycarbonate cover cut to the required length
"The E-72 and E-107 systems from Euroclamp ultimately create semi-open enclosures, where quick access to terminals and other components is always possible. This is an advantageous solution for devices containing components that need to be replaced from time to time – for example, relays in sockets, tube fuses in PCB holders, backup batteries for RTCs, and similar components. Additionally, the E-107 system offers a transparent polycarbonate cover that allows covering and thus protecting the components in the middle part of the enclosure, most often for safety reasons," explained Martin Brestovič, product specialist at SOS electronic.
