DigiWise wurde in Taiwan von einer Investorengruppe gegründet, die sich auf die Entwicklung von Displays und Touchpanels konzentriert. Das Unternehmen verfügt über eine starke Forschungs- und Entwicklungsbasis und beschäftigt daher Angestellte mit Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Herstellung von Displays, Hintergrundbeleuchtungen, Touchpanels und Integrationen.
Das Unternehmen ist auf die Bereitstellung einer ganzen Reihe kleiner und mittelgroßer TFT-Displays von 3,5 bis 10,4 Zoll spezialisiert. Die Mission des Unternehmens ist die langfristige Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden und Lieferanten, um Lösungen für übliche und anspruchsvolle Anwendungen anzubieten.

Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Art von LCD-Display, bei der eine dünne Schicht mit Aktivmatrixtransistoren verwendet wird, um die Anzeige von bewegten oder statischen Bildern auf der Oberfläche zu ermöglichen. Die Pixel dieser Displays sind in drei Subpixel mit den Farben Rot, Blau und Grün unterteilt, die mittels Transistoren gesteuert werden. Dies ermöglicht die Darstellung von Farbtönen innerhalb des RGB-Spektrums. Für den Betrieb des Displays ist eine Steuerelektronik erforderlich, die zusammen mit dem Display selbst das LCD-Modul bildet. Für die Bildanzeige auf dem Display ist in der Regel eine Hintergrundbeleuchtung erforderlich, die oftmals die Verwendung von LED-Dioden beinhaltet.
Hierbei handelt es sich um die meistverwendeten LCD-Displays, die bei Laptops, Mobiltelefonen, Monitoren, Fernsehern und ähnlichen Geräten zu finden sind.
