The Financial Administration, as one of the public authorities established by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, issued the prestigious AEO certificate to SOS electronic in accordance with the regulation of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. Obtaining this authorization requires meeting very strict criteria. According to data from 2022, there were only about 18,000 companies across the European area that received this authorization. Anna Varga, head of the logistics department, explains: “Holders of the AEO certificate are thoroughly vetted by customs authorities and must demonstrate that their internal control mechanisms, financial health, customs procedures, and physical security of goods are at a high level.”

Thanks to the AEO certificate, SOS electronic can handle customs procedures faster and more efficiently. “Goods transported by an AEO certificate holder are given priority clearance, whether for import or export. They are less frequently subjected to customs inspections, and any inspection is swift, ensuring faster delivery of goods and their release into free circulation,” says Anna Varga.

Additionally, the company can forward customs documents electronically. In the event of a physical inspection, it has the option to choose the customs office.
