Smart Energy Meters
Smart meters represent the latest generation of meters, and Finder offers a whole series of them under the 7M label.
All of them are electronic meters with LCD designed for DIN-rail mounting. As with the previous generation of meters, you can choose a version with a MID certificate (suitable for payment purposes) or some without certification. Of course, SO pulses are also available.
What makes these meters truly smart are the different communication interfaces and protocols. For example, Modbus or M-bus. And especially the built-in NFC technology, which allows reading the data and programming the meter with a smartphone even without mains voltage.
“Finder Toolbox NFC” Mobile App
To be able to program the meter using your smartphone, you will need the "Finder Toolbox NFC" app, which is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play.
One of the key features of this system is that even without connected mains voltage, you can read the status of the meter, you can read the current configuration, you can change the parameters of the communication protocol,
you can save the new configuration and all this by simply placing your smartphone near the meter.
