This type of display aims to mimic the appearance of ink on paper. It operates on the principle of two conductive electrodes with colored electroconductive particles in between. When a current of a certain polarity passes through, the particles are displayed either transparently or in colour, thus showing the desired text or image on the display.
This type of display is most commonly used in electronic book readers or in product descriptions and price tags in shop windows.
SOS electronic offers e-Paper displays from brands like Display Visions and others.
