Switching high currents with PCB relays
It is not quite common for 100 Amp level currents to flow in electronic circuits, nor is it common for this to be handled on PCBs. But times and needs change, and that's why Finder has come up with a new series of power relays.
Simple contact switching is now no more sufficient. The main change is that the switching is the result of processing various signals from many sensors that are processed by the processor. The easiest way to implement such an intelligent module is to do so on a printed circuit board. The solution comes from the Finder Series 68.22 of power relays with two switching contacts that can handle up to 100 amps.
These Finder 68.22 series relays are the only relays in our stock range that can switch up to 100 amps at 400 VAC and are designed for PCB mounting. There are available a 12 VDC version 68.22.9.012.4300 as well as a 24 VDC version 68.22.9.024.4300 in our stock.
The most common applications for relay of Finder series 68.22:
● Power generators
● Back-up generators
● Pump control
● Inverters
● Lifts
● or the latest charging stations for electric cars.
When we mention charging stations, relays of this series are suitable for 3-phase charging up to 55 kW. The nominal operating voltage is 400 VAC, maximum of up to 690 VAC. The nominal active load (type AC1) is up to 40,000 VA per contact.
Features and benefits of the relay Finder Series 68.22:
● PCB power relay
● Two switching contacts (2 NO)
● Nominal switching current - 100Amp
● Maximum switching current (1ms) - 300Amp
● Rated load - 40 kVA
