USB-C Attend Connector for PCB with IP68 Reliably Protects Your Application

USB-C Attend: 3 dustproof and waterproof solutions 

USB-C connectors are known for their versatility, and a waterproof version of this technology further expands its use in areas where the standard USB-C would otherwise be unsuitable.

We have added 3 types of USB-C connectors from Attend to our range, which represent 3 different dust and water-resistant solutions. These are high-quality PCB connectors with robust construction and sealing. They prevent water and dust from entering the device, regardless of whether the USB cable is connected or not. The sealing level is quantified by the IP rating.

These connectors are suitable for small portable devices such as PDAs, readers, tablets, or converters. 

USB-C connectors by Attend with IP rating: 

1. 217B-CA04 – IPX8, no cutout required on PCB
2. 217C-CB09 – IPX8, cutout required on PCB (mid-mount), simple box panel modification 
3. 217C-AE05 – IPX7, cutout required on PCB (mid-mount), fully populated connector with 24 functional pins

From the diagram is it clear that a fully populated USB-C connector contains 24 pins, as is the case with the Attend 217C-AE05 connector.

The following table shows the pinout for the remaining two Attend USB-C connectors with IP ratings, 217B-CA04 and 217C-CB09.
