Today the prevailing trend, that complicated electronic devices are simply constructed with smaller modules and one of the widely used and popular form factors is Mini PCI Express. Many different modules are available - communication modules (3G, LTE modules ... eg. EC21 miniPCI-E from Quectel or WiFi modules eg. WizFi630A from Wiznet), SSDs ... (eg. MPDM + from Apacer), interface converters etc. Assembling with the motherboard is then very easy with connectors of series 119A from ATTEND.
They are two-piece connectors. The socket itself and the latch which prevents releasing the module and ensures the correct distance above the base plate. The first two sizes - with a height of 4 mm and 5.6 mm are characterized by extremely easy and quick assembly and disassembly - these are called "One click assembly" solution with a single latch. Moreover, the latches are supplied with "Pick and Place Pad" which allows the machine assembly, which is desirable because the connectors themselves are in a version for surface mounting. Other sizes are then dealt with two screws and two nuts.
