The distributor SOS electronic included to its product range new cost-effective i.MX258-based SODIMM EMBEDDED solution from Voipac, which is designed to speed up your development and integration process, and includes complex boards with a number of the most required peripherals. Protected by stylish aluminum case, this product can be used directly within customer system or as an embedded computer running Linux, Android or Windows CE operating system.
i.MX25 SODIMM Module – a small circuit board which belongs to the group of COMs (Computer On Module). Central component is the 400MHz ARM9 i.MX258 processor from Freescale that provides the module with enough computing power to cover majority of the general industrial applications requirements. The module with the size of a standard notebook memory is manufactured in any desired hardware configuration, and can be plugged into a standard 200pin SODIMM connector which allows base board components to be placed even beneath the module. This 1 mm thick 8-layer microcontroller board includes all of the technologically and development demanding parts, saving many man-months of the high-frequency PCB design, complex prototyping, debugging and OS porting, thus minimizing the time-to-market of the customers’ own projects. It can be supplied in various configurations thus allowing fine tuning of the targeted device specification. |
i.MX25 Base Board - universal multi-purpose development board designed as a carrier board for the SODIMM Module. It is supplied in a stylish Aluminum case, which turns the Base Board with inserted SODIMM Module into a ready-to-use adapter-powered EMBEDDED PC containing all of the standard PC peripherals. For easy debugging and custom interfaces creating, each of the 200 SODIMM Module pins is accessible via four 50-pin Base Board headers. At the final stage of design period, the developed application can be easily placed into your own, more economic base board together with the Voipac SODIMM Module. |
JTAG Cable with serial line - JTAG tool for the quick debugging, programming or testing and RS232 communication interface for the comfortable work with the customer's solution. This universal OpenOCD compatible debugging tool uses JTAG interface as the transport mechanism which enables a programmer to access and to on-chip debug the module integrated into the CPU. Another purpose of the JTAG interface is to allow device programmer hardware to transfer data into the internal non-volatile device memory. |
The i.MX25 Development kit provides configurable switches, buttons, GPIO pins and LEDs for simple user interaction, thus simplifying programming of one's own applications. Among the most significant attributes of the i.MX25 platform is low power drain with excellent MIPS/mW performance enabling usage in a battery-operated devices, high CPU performance, plenty of available interfaces and glueless connectivity to various passive and active LCDs with 4-wire resistive touch screens. The DVI-I connector provides direct connectivity to a generic CRT or TFT screens, supporting maximum resolution of 800x600 pixels in a 16 bit mode.
The development kit which is ideal tool for the parallel SW and HW development is further provided with necessary cables, software, source codes, Schematic of the Single Board Computer, complete documentation of the Base Board, and 1-mont-free support to speed up your device development process.
At present the new Development Kit i.MX51 SODIMM PC is introduced on the market . It is an industrial computer with a small circuit board which belongs to the group of COMs (Computer On Module). Central component is the 800MHz ARM Cortex A8TM i.MX515 processor from Freescale that provides the module with enough computing power to cover majority of the multimedia applications requirements. The module with the size of a standard notebook memory is manufactured in any desired hardware configuration, and can be plugged into a standard 200pin SODIMM connector which allows base board components to be placed even beneath the module. This 1 mm thick 10-layer microcontroller board includes all of the technologically and development demanding parts, saving many man-months of the high-frequency PCB design, complex prototyping, debugging and OS porting, thus minimizing the time-to-market of the customers’ own projects. It can be supplied in various configurations thus allowing fine tuning of the targeted device specification.
