Comparing them to conventional testers, they have permanently open "U" -shaped jaws in the front part. On the other hand, comparing them with clamp multimeters, they have the shape of a classic tester.
Fluke was able to technologically handle current measurement with sufficient accuracy, even with fixed U-shaped open jaws, so they eliminated the riskiest mechanical factor in their design - the opening mechanism.
You do not risk measuring completely incorrect values due to imperfect jaw-closing caused by dirt/deposits when measuring in harsh conditions.
The T5 body can also function as a "holder" of measuring tips, so when measuring, you have a tester and one measuring probe in one hand, and the other hand remains free to work with the other tip. The device has very low battery consumption, but still includes a useful function of automatic shutdown after 45 minutes of inactivity.
