The German company DISPLAY VISIONS, formerly known as Electronic Assembly, specializes in the development and production of high-quality industrial displays with built-in smart technologies. Their displays are designed with an emphasis on easy application and are generally very user-friendly.
If you are not yet familiar with the EA uniTFT series of smart displays and the EA uniTFTs series of smaller displays, you can find more detailed information in our previous articles. However, basic version of these displays already has the connectivity solved through USB and serial interface. At the same time, the manufacturer considers the requirements of the present time and offers us the possibility to extend the current modules with other types of connectivity and thus facilitate and speed up the development of the latest projects.
New DISPLAY VISIONS products for even faster development
1. DEMOPACK with Wi-Fi/LAN to create a Wi-Fi HMI
The basic set of the development kit from DISPLAY VISIONS, EA DEMOPACK, contains a 2.8" IPS uniTFTs module plus a selected additional module - with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or LAN, but also with a humidity, temperature or CO2 sensor and the like. Additional modules are also available as boards themselves and auxiliary items. In the corresponding datasheet, they are marked on the first page as "Spare parts". In the case of Wi-Fi/BT and LAN modules, these are the EA 94998-WIFIBT and EA 94998-LAN application PCBs.
The mentioned two additional modules are suitable for the entire series of uniTFTs displays, i.e. for sizes 2”; 2.8”; 3.5" to 4.3". If we take into account that by using them, we can literally skip one step in development (PCB design, production, installation), then the overall benefit of this investment is certainly not only interesting, but also worth trying as a quick presentation of the first visualization of the project. We have therefore included EA DEMOPACK-WIFIBT and EA DEMOPACK-LAN in our product offer and they are now available directly from our warehouse.
2. IPS TFT Display Shield 0,96” for Raspberry Pico
Apart from the additional modules with Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity, another interesting novelty from DISPLAY VISIONS is the small, only 0.96” IPS TFT display EA TFT009-81AINN. The display itself is also available without an additional DPS for the Raspberry Pico, but it is easy to use especially as a "display shield" for the already mentioned R-Pico miniature computer.
Currently, there are two versions available, EA RaPicoTFT009 and EA RaPicoTFT009TC, i.e. the version with and also without capacitive touch panel. Both modules have well-documented code in language C with text, image, and touchpad support.
