What is MXM?
MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) is the standard interface between PC systems and graphics subsystems. MXM covers the mechanical, electrical, thermal and software and, of course, a connector.

This connector is for QSeven modules. QSeven provides functional requirements for embedded applications, which include but are not limited to graphics, audio, mass storage, network, etc. The name comes from the dimensions of a module – 70x70mm (Module with dimensions 70x40mm is called uQSeven). QSeven uses 230 pin edge connector (pitch 0,5mm) to connect all power and signal lines to the motherboard.

This connector is for SMARC (Smart Mobility ARChitecture), EDM and Apalis modules. They use 314 pin card edge connector (pitch 0,5mm). The dimensions of a Full Size Module is 82x80mm. The Short Module has 82x50mm.
