Ultra-Compact GNSS Module for Flexible Use in IoT and Industrial Applications
The LC86L is an ultra-compact GNSS module from Quectel, measuring just 16,0 × 16,0 × 6,95 mm. It features 26 tracking and 11 acquisition channels and is fully compatible with the Quectel GPS L80 module, providing a flexible and scalable platform for transitioning from GPS to GNSS.
Satellite system support for enhanced accuracy
Equipped with an integrated ceramic patch antenna, the LC86L is powered by the GNSS chipset (AG3331), supporting two simultaneous GNSS constellations – either GPS + GLONASS or GPS + BeiDou. The module incorporates advanced AGNSS (Assisted GNSS), EASY™ (an onboard system for autonomous orbit prediction), and LOCUS™ (an internal position logger) to maximize performance.
Smart features for fast positioning, stable signal, and low power consumption
EASY™ allows the module to calculate and predict orbits automatically using up to three days of ephemeris data stored in the RAM, allowing for fast positioning with low power consumption, even in weak signal conditions.
LOCUS™ logs position data to the internal flash memory at default 15-second intervals, offering over 16 hours of storage with no extra components. The LC86L also supports automatic antenna switching, transitioning between the internal patch antenna and the external active antenna while maintaining positioning.
The LC86L GNSS module comes in an SMD package and is supplied on T&R reels, making it well-suited for mass production.
