Series of top-class soldering stations is already maybe familiar to you from our article Weller WX soldering stations are a masterpiece. When purchasing a soldering station we usually choose some given soldering tool (separately or in a cost effective sete) and a thickness of a soldering tip we accomodate to a size of soldering joints planned to solder.
That´s a standard well-proven proceeding. By a size and a shape of a tip we´re able to accomadate to a quite wide rane of solder joints sizes. However a problem occurs in „border values“. If we for example want to solder extra small joints with a 120W tool WXP120, it can easily happen, that even the smallest available tip won´t be good and a work won´t be pleasant, as even a tool has its size. On the other hand even the biggest tip with excellent heat transfer won´t help you at extra big joints of thick cables, where we simply need more power. In these case it´s obviously better to select other – more suitable tool.
Even from these reasons we incorporated into our stable stock offer standalone tools with stands:
