Majority of DC/DC modules can be classified into a category of step-down (buck) or step-up (boost) circuits. However, there also circuits, able to operate in both modes, depending on an input voltage. In other words, if the input voltage is lower than the required output voltage, the module operates in a step-up mode. If the input voltage is higher than output voltage, the module operates in a step-down mode.
Into this category also belongs a novelty in our stock - TCL024-124DC. It is a switch-mode power supply for a DIN rail with the 24VDC output voltage, able to work in a very wide input voltage range of 18-75VDC. Wide input voltage range is useful itself, but for many applications can be even more beneficial fact, that the input voltage can oscillate below and above output voltage (24V) and still the output will remain stable. A great benefit is, that the TCL-DC series is constructed as an isolating SMPS, that´s why it enables a galvanic isolation of a load, input amplifier, measuring device,…
In the TCL-DC series can be found 6 various types with 12-60W output power. Detailed information will provide you the TCL-DC datasheet. On the TracoPower website can also be found installation manual and various certificates.
TCL-DC series is in many features similar to the TCL series, which we introduced to you in the article TracoPower TCL power supplies guarantee a power of up to 600W.
