Perhaps everyone agrees that the USB interface is extraordinarily universal and after introducing the USB 3.0 protocol there´s no doubt that it´s a very perspective interface where everyone can choose a suitable transfer speed. USB is currently perhaps the most widely used communication interface for periphery devices connectable to a PC. USB magic maybe lies in the fact that the same USB port on a given (industrial) device can be used for example for data storage (in a usual operation) but in case of necessity also for diagnostics, parameters setting, FW update etc.
Similarly, various data loggers and other small mobile devices benefit from the USB protocol. These are exactly the ones, for which Hammond brings the 1551 USB enclosure series. This Canadian producer produces a huge number of enclosure types in various modifications; however, no enclosures designated strictly for the USB devices were produced till now. This has changed by introducing the 1551 USB series, containing up to 15 models (three sizes in five colours):
1551 USB1 – 35*20*15,5 mm (LxWxH)
1551 USB2 – 50*25*15,5 mm
1551 USB3 – 65*30*15,5 mm
As it can be seen, enclosures cover the most frequently used range of sizes from length of 3.5cm up to 6.5 cm.
All sizes are available in five modifications (colours):
BK – black (RAL 9011 Black)
GY – light grey (RAL 7035 Grey)
TCL – Translucent clear (Translucent clear)
TSK – Translucent smoke (Translucent smoke)
TRD – Translucent red (Translucent red)
All enclosures have a fine satin-structured surface. Selected types of 1551 USB are already in our stock; all other versions can be delivered to you upon request in a short lead-time and under favourable conditions.
