15W DC/DC converters are widely used in industrial applications. TRACO currently manufactures more than 10 different series of 15W board mounted DC/DC converters.
The TON15/15WI (Wide Input 4:1) are SMD versions while the TEL15, THD15N/15WIN, THL15WI, THM15/15WI, THN15/15N/15WI/15WIR are through-hole mounted versions.
The THN15WIR is railway certified ruggedized version and is suitable for railway applications for highest reliability in harsh environments. The converters have an increased resistance against electromagnetic interference, shock/vibration, and thermal shock.
The approvals according to standards EN 50155 and EN 61373 qualify them for railway and transportation systems. The qualification for the fire behaviour of components according to EN 45545-2 and the safety approval according to IEC/EN 60950-1, UL60950-1 support a potential compliance test of the application.
The THL 15WI Series is Traco Power’s latest addition to the existing 15 Watt DC/ DC converter range. With the focus on combining cost efficiency and quality, this isolated high performance 15 Watt DC/DC converter is suitable for many different applications.
The series comes in an encapsulated, shielded 1” x 1” x 0.4” metal package and has a fully integrated EN55032 class A filter. High efficiency up to 91% enables the converter to operate from –40°C to +70°C without derating. All models have an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range and precisely regulated isolated outputs.
The series meets the latest IT safety certifications (UL 62368-1) and is thus eligible for uses in mobile equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics and everywhere where cost efficiency and quality are critical factors.
The THL15WI series includes 14 models in a version of THL15-24 (9 - 36 VDC) and THL15-48 (18 - 75 VDC) converters with 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, and ±12, ±15V. These converters you can find in our range of products, available on request.
