Weller's Zero Smog Shield Pro fume extractors set a new standard for workplace health and safety. These relatively small extraction units, which can be placed under your existing soldering station, ensure the best air quality in their class at a very affordable price.
Of course, these small units are not suitable for daily industrial 8-hour soldering but are fully adequate for research and development, service and repair, schools, training centres, and workstations, except for industrial production lines.
Two new Weller fume extractors on the market
1. WE1010 Shield Kit
The WE1010 Shield Kit includes the well-known WE 1010 soldering station along with the new Zero Smog Shield extraction unit. This is the basic version that meets the needs of all standard soldering workstations. This set is suitable for development, schools, service, and repairs, and is available, as mentioned above, as a kit including the extraction unit and WE 1010 soldering station.
2. Zero Smog Shield Pro
The Zero Smog Shield Pro is an even more advanced professional version with higher suction power, lower noise levels, and a highly efficient filter. This extraction unit can indicate the need for filter replacement, the power is adjustable with a sliding control, and it can be connected to Weller WT and WX line soldering stations, enabling automatic operation with the Stop & Go function.

Both fume extractor versions are powered by small external DC sources (adapters) and feature quick and easy filter replacement. Another great feature is the identification of the work area – bright white LED work lights indicate the best extraction area for effective filtration. The new Weller extraction units are suitable for use in environments with strict quality requirements. The Zero Smog Shield Pro is ESD-safe and meets the highest industry standards.
