FTDI is launching the new USB High-Speed Power Delivery, complemented by the Power Delivery (PD) function, thus expanding the existing successful series. In addition, PD allows the load and power supply to negotiate multiple standard voltages and currents.

The FTDI Power Delivery series has one or two Type-C/PD ports:
PD1 port supports both power sink (power supply input) and source (power supply output) roles. PD1 port shares the same Type-C connector with USB interface.
PD2 port only supports a power sink role, which means it is just a power port without USB interface.
Both ports support 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V 3A and 20V 3A (5A) profiles.
